Fresh pizza is fragile, irregular and unforgiving. The toppings are soft and easily displaced. The dough is delicate and cannot handle pressure or accumulation. The shapes vary — round, rectangular, square, triangular — sometimes all on the same line. Add in carton pads, display windows, micro-flute or solid board, and you quickly understand why a standard case packer simply does not work here.

The biggest mistake we see in the industry? Trying to adapt a generic packaging machine to fresh pizza. The result is product damage, topping displacement, downtime — and a frustrated production team.

Flat blanks — not pre-erected cartons

This is a detail that matters enormously for your supply chain. Working from flat blanks rather than pre-erected cartons means significantly reduced storage space requirements, lower packaging material costs, and extended magazine autonomy — meaning fewer operator interventions and more uptime.

Integrated quality control

The line includes the possibility for quality checks on incoming products — so that only compliant pizzas enter the packaging process. Reject handling is built in, not bolted on.
