May 2023 - Press Releases

Based in Les Achards, Vendée, in France MG Tech, founded in 2004, explains that the skill of its employees who are passionate about their profession has proved instrumental in the company's expansion and growth; with CEO Eric Gautier pointing out that this is backed by constant research into quality and industrial performance.

According to Charles Girault, business development at MG Tech: "We provide a wide range of packaging equipment for secondary and tertiary products, including wrapping machines, cartoning machines, case-erecting machines, case packers and palletizing machines. We are also able to provide full industrial packaging lines, including different functionalities, so our customers can adapt their production lines to match industrial needs."

"We use robotics and vision systems in all our machines for loading and sometimes for carton forming and closing", Girault adds."And to maintain maximum productivity, we have developed our own robots -poly-articulated and 3-,4- or 5- axis delta robots. We have also developed strong partnerships with robot and cobot suppliers, including Fanuc.

Fanuc is part of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork as a Strategic Alliance Partner.

In this regard, Rockwell Automation has proved pivotal for MG Tech, not just for specific technological developments, but also for the company's expansion into the North America market. One of the key features MG Tech appreciates is the open architecture used by the automation solutions.

MG Tech does not do 'black boxes',"We make our programs accessible to end users so their technicians and operators have easy access to modify parameters, all of which is made possible by a user-friendly interface into all the 1/0 and servo-axes. New formats should be easy to create, not difficult."

The connectivity delivered by the automation solution also supports MG Tech's new IN USE platform, which is delivered with new machines. "IN-USE allows our customers to have access to a chat area with our service department as well as visibility of updated machinery documentation. In addition to this, it also offers an optional monitoring function, which can be used to record production and efficiency data for the creation of predictive maintenance.
